I’ve added the data visualization of the topics graph feature to the application. Basically, it shows those topics that are related to the current topic. By default, it will show you those topics that are one level (or ‘jump’) away. However, it is possible to increase the range to a maximum of three levels.
Obviously, the topics graph is ‘live’. That is, as you navigate around the topic map, it updates on the fly. The next logical step would be adding the possibility to use the actual topic graph to navigate, that is, double-clicking on a given topic within the graph will make that topic the current topic.
With topic maps, it’s all about context… the visualization of the topic graph makes the context of any given topic immediately apparent.
